Guide: Siming Mountain is distributed across Yuyao in the west of Ningbo, the southwestern part of Yinzhou County, and Fenghua, with an average elevation of 100-300 meters. It is called "Siming Mountain" because atop Dayu Mountain there is a rock formation known as "Four Window Rock," through which sunlight, moonlight, and starlight can shine through four stone window-like holes. Siming Mountain was once one of the nineteen revolutionary bases in China and also one of the seven major guerrilla zones in southern China. During both the Anti-Japanese War and the Liberation War, it made indelible contributions to China's revolutionary cause. Highlights: In 1935, Chiang Kai-shek returned to his hometown and spent the summer here with his wife Soong Mei-ling, where they built a summer villa called "Zhongyang House." Next to the villa is an artificial lake named "Winter Melon Lake," serene and tranquil with mirror-like water. In the summer of 1937, Chiang Ching-kuo and his wife, as well as the imprisoned Zhang Xueliang, also visited here. Today, Zhongyang House still stands, with its remaining steps and crumbling walls bearing witness to the passage of time. Introduction: Siming Mountain National Forest Park is located in the heart of Siming Mountain in eastern Zhejiang. The main peak of Siming — Fuchuan Mountain — reaches an elevation of 1,020 meters and is situated at the southernmost part of the park. The area features dense forests, verdant mountains, and crystal-clear waters, with various species of birds and animals roaming about. Coupled with the absence of pollution sources nearby, the ecological environment is exceptionally pristine, earning it the reputation of being the "Natural Museum of Flora and Fauna in Eastern Zhejiang." The park has five major scenic areas: Shensxiu Valley Scenic Area, Boguyan – Yangtian Lake Scenic Area, Shanglianggang Forest Recreation Area, Siming Summit Scenic Area, and Zhougongzhai Taokeng Scenic Area. There are also cultural attractions such as the Zhendong Bridge and the Huang Zongxi Memorial Hall.

Best Travel Time: Siming Mountain is an ideal summer retreat, with average temperatures 5-6°C lower than in urban areas. In winter, snow-covered landscapes and icy peaks occur three to four times a year, creating a silver world. In cases of drastic climate changes, visitors may even witness the rare meteorological phenomenon in the south — rime ice. Dining / Accommodation / Shopping: Siming Mountain Resort serves as the park’s tourism reception center, offering standard and student beds, along with entertainment options such as a bar, teahouse, dance hall, chess and card room, gym, fishing center, and camping and barbecue facilities. Transportation: 1. Around 7:00 AM, a bus departs from Ningbo South Station to Siming Mountain; at 1:35 PM, there is a minibus with its final stop at Gan Zhulin, which is actually Siming Mountain National Forest Park. 2. Take a minibus from Ningbo South Station to Yuyao South Station, then transfer directly to a minibus heading toward Siming Mountain to reach the base of the mountain. Departure times from Yuyao South Station to Siming Mountain are 6:40, 7:00, 7:30, 8:30, 10:30, 11:00… with the last bus at 2:30 PM. The last bus from Siming Mountain back to Ningbo is at 3:00 PM, and back to Yuyao at 2:30 PM. 3. By car, drive from Ningbo to Xikou first, then follow Provincial Highway 33 (Huxi Line) all the way to Siming Mountain. Alternatively, depart from Yuyao, follow Provincial Highway 33 toward Xikou until you reach Siming Mountain. For those coming from Hangzhou or Shanghai, exit at Yuyao on the Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway, then follow Provincial Highway 33 toward Xikou to Siming Mountain.
