Wuling Park

Situated at the foot of West Feifeng Mountain and the north bank of the Shanyin River in Xikou Town, Fenghua City. In 1935, Chiang Kai-shek selected this location to construct the park, which was completed after three years. The park includes Guishan Hill, atop which the "Kuangguan Pavilion" and "Hanbi Pavilion" were built. At the base of the hill is the "Yilan Hall," a branch of the China Travel Service, where General Feng Yuxiang stayed in April 1937. Other scenic spots within the park comprise the Yishuang Pavilion, Mingyuan Tower, Mao’i Pavilion, Kangle Pavilion, the lotus pond bridge, and the Jin Di. The park was destroyed by Japanese air raids in 1937. It was rebuilt between 1988 and 1990, with a new park entrance, reconstructed "Hanbi Pavilion" and "He Pu Song Feng," as well as renovations to the Yilan Hall, Kuangguan Pavilion, and walking paths throughout the park. The park has since taken on a completely renewed look.
