The Memorial Hall of Martyr Zhuo Lanfang is a classic red tourism destination and a patriotic education base.

The Memorial Hall of Martyr Zhuo Lanfang is located in Haiyan Village, Song'ao Town, Fenghua City.

Zhuo Lanfang was a pioneer of the labor and peasant movement in Zhejiang, the fourth Secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, an outstanding representative of the people of Ningbo, and a shining example of a Communist Party member. To promote his fearless spirit in the face of danger, his dedication to saving the nation, his unwavering loyalty to the Party's cause, and his unyielding resolve and martyrdom in front of the enemy, the Party committee and government of Song'ao Town, Zhuo Lanfang’s hometown, carried out a comprehensive renovation of his former residence and expanded it into a memorial hall.

With the attention and support of the Party committees and governments at various levels in Ningbo and Fenghua as well as people from all walks of life, the memorial hall was completed and opened to the public in March 2004. It covers a total area of 1,120 square meters, with a total floor space of 572 square meters, which is three-quarters larger than the original residence.

The front of the memorial hall features a blend of Chinese and Western architectural styles, with tall surrounding walls and a main gate adorned with upturned eaves. The reception and duty rooms on both sides are solemn, elegant, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing. In the central lawn stands a dignified and lifelike bust of Martyr Zhuo Lanfang, while the preserved old house is simple and tidy, displaying the martyr’s former desks, chairs, beds, and other daily necessities. The original appearance has been fully preserved. On the north side of the residence is the exhibition room dedicated to the martyr’s deeds, featuring abundant images, detailed information, and highly educational displays. It serves as an important venue for Party members, cadres, the public, youth, and others to receive patriotic education and learn about the history of the CPC in Ningbo. As early as February 1995, the exhibition room in Zhuo Lanfang’s former residence was listed as a patriotic education base in Ningbo. Every year, the site attracts a continuous stream of visitors, keeping the martyr’s spirit alive and exerting immeasurable educational influence.
