As you step into YinFeng, the first things to catch your eye are a small bridge spanning the babbling stream and a bamboo gate beside it. The couplet on the bamboo gate reads: “Enter this garden and endless joy awaits; admire the scenery and laughter flows freely.” Standing on this quaint and elegant bridge, you’ll see a stretch of emerald water meandering slowly eastward through the resort, while the uniquely designed Xiaozhu Villas are nestled like jewels in a grand landscape painting. To the west, a sea of swaying bamboos dances with the wind, and to the north, verdant hills roll gently. Crossing the bridge, you’ll find the garden lush with flowers and trees, exotic plants and peculiar rocks, accompanied by birdsong and floral fragrance, evoking the feeling that “a cool breeze and bright moon are priceless, and nearby waters and distant mountains hold endless charm.” The ethnic restaurant is built along the stream, and at the round entrance, several Dai girls — holding small plates in their left hands and sprigs of leaves in their right — will sprinkle “holy water” from the plates onto visitors’ shoulders with a gentle flick of the leaves as they enter. The over 500-square-meter restaurant is always packed. As melodious music plays, a group of Dai girls begin to dance gracefully, offering visitors a treat for both the palate and the eyes, amid bursts of laughter, applause, and cheers. Small bamboo huts and stilted houses transport guests into the world of the Dai people. The bamboo huts come in various styles: rice-barrel shaped, umbrella shaped, pavilion shaped, and more, each uniquely charming. The interiors are furnished entirely with bamboo, keeping the huts cool in summer and warm in winter. Late at night, sipping drinks with a loved one in a bamboo hut adds a special touch.
