Nanlei Yan Lake
Nanlei Yan Lake refers to the scenic area around Lianghui Reservoir. Known poetically as "Yanyan Lake," Lianghui Reservoir is 6 kilometers from the city center. The lake area features three bridges: Yanming, Yanci, and Fengxiang, surrounded by beautiful scenery. Adjacent to the lake are the Greater and Lesser Leishan Mountains, where Tang Dynasty scholar Xie Yichen once lived in seclusion. Four kilometers to the east lie scenic spots such as the Hu'an Twin Waterfalls and the Dragon-Tiger Thatched Cottage. The great thinker and historian of the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, Huang Lizhou (also known as Nanlei), is also buried here.
