Cloud River Drift

The Cloud River Drift Scenic Area is situated in Luting Township, Yuyao, at the northern foot of Siming Mountain. The entire drifting course spans 2.5 kilometers with an elevation change of over 50 meters, and the drift takes approximately 1.5 hours. Thanks to the natural benefits of pristine mountains, clear waters, and terrain elevation differences, the valley radiates a lively charm. During the drift, visitors can fully enjoy the thrill of battling rapids, admire the scenery along both banks of the stream, and revel in the joy of close contact with nature.

The water section of the Cloud River Drift is located on the Xiaolu Stream, anciently known as Changjian, which originates from Baiyanjian, an altitude of 777 meters, and runs eastward across the entire Luting Township. The Luting section is about 15 kilometers long, featuring a winding course that twists and turns, rising and falling with well-balanced drops and expanses—making it an ideal destination for rafting. "Drifting amid landscapes, with mind lost in the misty clouds" is the true depiction of the Cloud River Drift.

Within Luting Township lies a collection of historic sites known as the "Three Bridges and One Temple," namely the Baiyun Bridge—hailed as the oldest ancient bridge in eastern Zhejiang—the exquisitely crafted Lijia Tower Wooden Bridge, the classic and elegant Dafang Bridge, and the Xiansheng Temple, known as the oldest ancient theater stage in eastern Zhejiang. They were built during the Tang, Song, and Qing dynasties respectively. For those interested, you can also explore sites such as the Rear Hospital of Eastern Zhejiang, the Organization Department, and the "35th Detachment" Arsenal, embarking on a "Red Tourism" journey.

Luting Township: Located in the southern part of Yuyao City, at the foot of Siming Mountain, Luting Township borders Zhangshui Town of Yinzhou to the east, Dalan Town to the south, Liangnong Town to the west, and Lubu Town and Yuyao’s Southeast Subdistrict to the north. It is a mountainous township rich in resources, blessed with beautiful scenery, and holds vast development potential.
