Beixi Drift

Beixi Drift in Siming Mountain, Yuyao, is situated in the mountainous hinterland known as a “natural oxygen bar” and a “summer retreat.” Nestled among rolling hills and bisected by a meandering stream, the water rushes and swirls through varied terrain with well-calibrated drops and natural flow. The entire route is scattered with peculiar rocks and tranquil pools. A 40-minute drift lets you fully appreciate the vibrant red maples and cherry blossoms lining the banks, the swaying bamboo groves caressed by the breeze, and the classic charm exuded by ancient stone carvings of Tang poetry. Along the way, you’ll also pass historical sites such as Jishan Bridge, where Chiang Kai-shek once stayed on several occasions. The development of this project not only offers another excellent destination that combines romance, leisure, and spiritual rejuvenation, but also fills a gap in recreational tourism within Siming Mountain. It meets the growing cultural and entertainment needs of travelers in recent years.

Drift tourism combines amusement with excitement. Visitors can experience the thrill of battling the rapids, admire the scenic views along the riverbanks, and even engage in water fights with neighboring boats for a closer connection with nature. Research shows that apart from Shuangxi Drift, Banxi Drift, and Nanxi River Drift, there are few other notable drifting spots in the province. Shuangxi Drift features gentle terrain with insufficient thrills, Banxi Drift has a low-end positioning, and Nanxi River Drift is highly seasonal. Therefore, Beixi Drift integrates the strengths of these options and serves as a new highlight for interactive tourism experiences. Its development not only facilitates the integrated development and utilization of local tourism resources throughout the village, but also significantly elevates the quality and appeal of Siming Mountain as a tourist destination. It can also give a strong boost to the tourism growth of Yuyao City.
