Dafang Bridge
Dafang Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Ningbo City.
Located in Dongqiao Village, Luting Township, it was first built in the 55th year of the Qianlong reign during the Qing Dynasty (1790) and renovated in the Yisi year of the Guangxu reign (1905). It is a single-arch stone bridge. The total length is 17.30 meters. The clear span of the arch is 14.10 meters, the width of the bridge is 5.30 meters, and both sides are equipped with stone balusters and railings. The side walls on both sides of the arch are inscribed with two couplets rich in meaning, and the arch ring is constructed using the longitudinal bonding method, demonstrating a high level of architectural craftsmanship. The entire bridge has a soaring and majestic presence, making it a typical representation of ancient large-span stone arch bridges in our city.
Dafang Bridge was designated as a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit by the People’s Government of Yuyao City on May 18, 2001.
Luting Township: Luting Township is located in the southern part of Yuyao City, at the foot of the Siming Mountains. It borders Zhangshui Town of Yinzhou District to the east, Dalan Town to the south, Liangnong Town to the west, and Luxi Town and the Southeast Subdistrict of Yuyao City to the north.
