Zhilin Ancient Trail

Zhilin Ancient Trail, located in Zhilin Village, Dayin, Yuyao, lies at the northern foot of the Siming Mountains. Some sections of the trail are paved with stone slabs, while others consist of naturally exposed large rocks in the mountains. Over time and through prolonged exposure to rain and erosion, the stones and rocks have become smooth and rounded.

There used to be a Baiyan Chan Temple on the trail, built during the Southern Song Dynasty, which was burned down in the 1930s. The current temple is a newly reconstructed one.

Zhilin Ancient Trail is located at the innermost part of the Zhilin scenic area, with its other end reaching Huimin Village in Hengjie, Yinzhou. After just a short walk, you’ll find it becomes a typical mountain path, flanked by a small stream and dense bamboo groves.
