Maohu Site
The Maohu Site is a cultural heritage site protected by Yuyao City.
Maohu Site
Located at the eastern foot of Dingzi Mountain in Huangqingyan Village, Ditan Subdistrict, the site spans an area of about 8,000 square meters. Discovered in 1955, it belongs to the post-Hemudu cultural site category. Collected specimens include remnants of clay gray pottery, sandy red pottery, sandy gray pottery, and stone tools. This site is rich in historical significance and is the earliest ancient site found in our city. On April 26, 2010, the Maohu Site was designated as part of the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Yuyao City.

Ditan Subdistrict: Ditan Subdistrict is located 12 kilometers directly north of Yuyao’s urban center. To the east, it connects with Cixi’s urban area and Henghe Town; to the south, it borders Fengshan Subdistrict and Yangming Subdistrict; to the west, it neighbors Langxia Subdistrict along Liangzhou Road; and to the north, it faces Zhouxiang and Tianyuan towns of Cixi across the Dagutang River. The subdistrict stretches 7.61 km from north to south and 9.137 km from east to west, covering an area of 43.226 square kilometers. It administers 11 administrative villages — Yangshan, Lishan, Huanghu, Huangqingyan, Lucheng, Ditan, Tangjiazha, Muhu, Mojianshan, Zhengxiang, and Xizhengxiang — and three neighborhood committees: Lishan, Zhihelu, and Zhengxiang.
