Yuxi Tea Pavilion
The Yuxi Tea Pavilion is a cultural heritage site protected by Yuyao City.
Yuxi Tea Pavilion
Located on Yuxi Old Street in Zhangting Town, it was built in the 29th year of the Jiajing reign during the Ming Dynasty (1566). This three-bay covered street pavilion features a mixed wood-and-stone structure and is the only Ming Dynasty pavilion discovered in Yuyao to date, possessing considerable architectural and historical importance. On April 26, 2010, the Yuxi Tea Pavilion was designated as part of the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage sites in Yuyao City.
Zhangting Town: Zhangting Town is situated in the eastern part of the city, 14 kilometers from downtown. In ancient times, where the Cijiang and Yaojiang rivers diverged, there were seventeen to eighteen zhang (approximately 56–64 meters) of rocky shoals, atop which a square chamber was built as a resting place for the old garrison, originally referred to as "Zhangting." It borders Sanqishi Town to the east, Fengshan Subdistrict to the west, faces Luxi and Hemudu Towns across the Yaojiang River and Cixi to the south, and adjoins Henghe Town of Cixi City to the north. The town covers an area of 55.86 square kilometers. By the end of 2005, it had 9,940 households with a permanent population of 30,145, including 2,829 non-agricultural residents.
