Hujielao Mansion — “Nine Courtyards and Ten Halls”
Located in Hujiel Village, Zhangting Town, it consists of two courtyards: the south-facing courtyard built in the early Qing Dynasty and the east-facing courtyard built in the later Qing period. In its heyday, it was grand in scale, hence the saying “Nine Courtyards and Ten Halls.” The mansion features exquisite craftsmanship and a distinctive style. The brick-carved gate tower of the east-facing courtyard is exquisitely carved with rich patterns, reflecting the high level of residential architectural art in eastern Zhejiang during the Qing Dynasty. On April 26, 2010, Hujielao Mansion — “Nine Courtyards and Ten Halls” was designated as part of the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural relic protection units of Yuyao City.

The town covers an area of 55.86 square kilometers. By the end of 2005, it had a total of 9,940 households, a resident population of 30,145, including 2,829 non-agricultural residents.
