Former Residence of Jiang Menglin

Located in La Jiang Natural Village, Hua Family Village, Huangjiabu Town. In the twelfth year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty (1886), the renowned educator Jiang Menglin—who later served as President of Peking University and Minister of Education during the Republic of China—was born in this house and spent his childhood here. The original residence had three courtyards, but only the rear section, a five-bay single-story building, remains today, built in the late Qing Dynasty. On April 26, 2010, the former residence of Jiang Menglin was designated as part of the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural relic protection units in Yuyao City.

Huangjiabu Town: Beilong Village in Huangjiabu Town is bordered by National Highway 329 to the north and Yufu Road to the south, approximately 5 kilometers from the Moushan interchange. The village has 1,078 registered households with a population of 3,306 and 150 Party members. In 2004, the total annual income of the village reached 430 million yuan, with per capita rural income at 10,018 yuan and collective available income at 820,000 yuan. It is recognized as a Ningbo Civilized Village, Ningbo Democratic and Legal System Demonstration Village, Yuyao Advanced Party Organization, and Yuyao Civilized Village.
