Ye Family Scholar's House

The Ye Family Scholar's House is a cultural heritage site protected by Yuyao City.

The Ye Family Scholar's House is located at No. 23 Fuqian Road, Xianqingdi Community, Fengshan Subdistrict, Yuyao City, Zhejiang Province. This area is a gathering place for the Ye clan, which is divided into five branches. The Ye Family Scholar's House belongs to the second branch of the Ye family and was named after one of its members passed the imperial examination as a "Juren" (a successful candidate in the provincial level exam).

The Ye Family Scholar's House faces south with a north orientation and consists of three sections from front to back, flanked by east and west wing buildings. In front of the front building is a screen wall, alongside an entrance gate tower. A small alley in front of the gate tower leads to the main street, where there used to be another main gate facing the street, though it no longer exists.

The Ye Family Scholar's House is relatively large in scale, with a basically intact layout. The gate tower features rich and exquisite carvings, giving it certain artistic and historical value.

On September 23, 2014, the Yuyao Municipal People's Government announced it as part of the sixth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units.

It covers an area of 45.5 square kilometers, with a population of over 80,000. The subdistrict governs eight administrative villages, six communities, and one residents' committee. There are nearly 4,000 industrial and trade enterprises in Fengshan Subdistrict, including over 1,000 industrial enterprises. Industries such as plastics, molds, machinery and electronics, and hardware are clustered here.
