San Xiaozhi Ancestral Hall

The San Xiaozhi Ancestral Hall is a cultural relic protection unit of Yuyao City.

The San Xiaozhi Ancestral Hall is situated on Longquan Mountain in Longquan Community, Yuyao City. It faces south and is a late Qing Dynasty–style ancestral hall building. The ancient hall has a single-eave, flush-gable roof and three bays. The central bay has a raised-beam frame with four pillars and eight rafters. The side bays use a mixed through-tenon and raised-beam structure with five pillars and eight rafters. The beam supports between the central bay beams are short and stout. Below the base of the rear central column is a dished stone pad. The front eaves of the central bay include a corridor, while the side bays’ sill walls extend to the eaves. The roof is covered with small blue tiles. At the southern corner of the west gable wall is embedded a stone stele titled “Continuation of Orchid Pavilion and Board Bridge Carved Stone Inscription.” The stele stands 1.25 meters tall and 0.48 meters wide, with a bamboo carving on its surface.

The ancestral hall is simple and elegant, possessing certain architectural and historical value.

On September 23, 2014, the Yuyao Municipal People's Government designated it as part of the sixth batch of municipal-level cultural relic protection units.
