This house is located on Xundai Road, Longquan Community, Yuyao City, and served as a refuge for Chen Yun during the revolutionary period. The main building of the structure faces south with a north orientation, featuring a flush gable roof, seven bays, and a front and rear courtyard, with stone gateways on the east and west sides. The central bay of the main building has a post-and-lintel roof frame supported by six pillars and ten rafters. The side, end, and rear bays feature a mixed post-and-lintel and through-tenon roof frame, with seven pillars and ten rafters. The central and side bays form one courtyard, while the end bays form another, separated by a partition wall with screened doors connecting them via the corridor. The lattice doors and windows are simple and elegant.

The old house is of considerable age, with its column bases shaped like felt hats, and the step stones under the corridor are thick, long, and hard. The main building's doors and windows are tall and bright, showing distinct Ming Dynasty characteristics. It is a fairly typical example of Ming architecture in the region and also served as the residence where Chen Yun lived and worked in Yao, giving it significant historical value.

On September 23, 2014, the Yuyao Municipal People's Government designated it as a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit in the sixth batch.
