The Shi Family Residence on Guanjia Lane is a municipal cultural heritage site protected by Yuyao City.

The Shi Family Residence on Guanjia Lane is located at No. 84, Guanjia Lane, Yangming Community, Yangming Subdistrict, Yuyao City, situated between the Hanlin House and the Huang Family Courtyard.

The residence faces south with its back to the north and consists of two courtyards, front and rear. The entrance gate is centrally positioned on the southern wall, featuring a stone-framed gate with intricately arranged roof tiles and eaves ornaments. The front courtyard comprises a main hall flanked by two single-wing side rooms. The main hall has a flush gable roof with a single storey, two horsehead walls on the back side of the eastern gable wall, five bays, and a mixed post-and-lintel and beam-raising wooden structure supported by six pillars and eight rafters. The bracket arms between beams are slender with eagle-beaked column capitals that wrap around the crossbeams, all in plain finish. The interior is paved with rectangular stone slabs laid in staggered rows. The secondary rooms feature simple, rustic lattice windows. Two single-wing side rooms face each other, each with two bays. The rear courtyard consists of a rear hall and two single-wing side rooms. The rear hall has four bays and a mixed post-and-lintel and beam-raising wooden structure supported by five pillars and seven rafters, and is simpler in design than the main hall. Both the front and rear courtyards have stone-paved floors, with a central pathway in the front courtyard.

According to local villagers, the residence once served as the study of the Shi family from the Hanlin House. It is small yet exquisitely designed, with simple and ancient decorations, a long history, and is a Ming dynasty residential building located in the Wushengmen Historical Block area, possessing certain cultural heritage value.

On September 23, 2014, the Yuyao Municipal People’s Government designated it as a cultural heritage site under the sixth batch of municipal-level protection.
