The Xuan Family Ancestral House
The Xuan Family Ancestral House is a cultural heritage site protected by Yuyao City.
The Xuan Family Ancestral House is located on Nijia Road, Lincheng Village, Linshan Town, Yuyao City. It is a late Qing Dynasty building covering an area of 516.6 square meters. The house faces east and is backed by west, consisting of a stone gatehouse (shikumen), a main hall, and a rear hall. It is surrounded by tall walls, forming a typical enclosed courtyard complex. The gate hood above the shikumen entrance and the exposed brick exterior walls showcase features of Huizhou-style architecture.
On September 23, 2014, the Yuyao Municipal People’s Government designated it as a Cultural Heritage Site under the Sixth Batch of Municipal Protection.
