Diaotan Ji
Diaotan Ji is located in a small valley of a tributary of the Xixi River. The waterfall is over 80 meters high, with sheer cliffs and cascading waters that resemble a breach in the Milky Way. The most beautiful parts of the Diaotan Ji scenic area are the serene Diaodai Xiaji (Lower Diaodai Waterfall) and Diaodai Shangji (Upper Diaodai Waterfall).
Diaodai Shangji is located in the deep valley of Dayang Mountain. With a waterfall over a hundred meters high and cliffs as sharp as if cut by a knife, the water is hurled out from concave rock walls. The pool beneath the falls is very deep and the water is an extremely clear, vivid green — truly a tranquil spot.
Crossing the creek, you’ll see a stone turtle facing the sky guarding the stream, and there’s also a stone gate within the stream. After entering the stone gate and climbing for a while, you’ll arrive at Diaodai Xiaji. Although the Lower Diaodai Waterfall isn’t very high — just over 20 meters — it is quite wide, about 2 meters across.
