The Shuping Scholarship Exhibition Hall is a patriotic education base.

The Shuping Scholarship Exhibition Hall is located within the Xiaolianzhuang Garden in Nanxun Town, Nanxun District. It was officially opened in 1990. In 2010, it was designated as a “Zhejiang Provincial Patriotic Education Base.”

The Shuping Scholarship Exhibition Hall covers a total area of 880 square meters. It was built to commemorate Gu Qianlin, an educator and entrepreneur from Huzhou, and to promote his patriotic spirit of “gaining from society and giving back to society.” The exhibition hall consists of front and rear sections, divided into four parts: “Achievements of Mr. Gu,” “History of the Scholarship,” “A Wealth of Talent,” and “Moving Toward the Future.” Through videos, photos, and physical exhibits, it details the patriotic actions of Gu Qianlin, the founder of the Shuping Scholarship, comprehensively showcases the development of the scholarship program, carefully displays visits and inscriptions of praise by central and local leaders, and vigorously promotes the patriotic spirit of “gaining from society and giving back to society.”

The Shuping Scholarship Exhibition Hall is a must-visit site on the Nanxun tourism route, and the Shuping Scholarship is also an important part of Nanxun’s culture. Each year, in conjunction with major holidays and memorial days, students from several middle schools in Nanxun and nearby schools are organized to visit and study. Themed social investigation and practical activities are organized around specific educational topics, along with essay and speech contests on the spirit of Shuping, all aimed at expanding the influence of the Shuping spirit and maximizing the role of the patriotic education base.
