Calligraphy Sage Garden
Calligraphy Sage Garden is located on Jinting Mountain and features attractions such as the former residence of Wang Xizhi, the study site of Wang Xianzhi, the Temple of General Youjun, Jinting Taoist Temple, and the Kukai Sacred Site Stele. Among these, the Kukai Sacred Site Stele was built at the request of Japanese friends to commemorate Kukai, a Japanese envoy to the Tang Dynasty. During his time, this envoy visited Shengzhou multiple times in search of traces left by Wang Xizhi and diligently studied the calligraphy of the Wang family, on which basis he later created the Japanese hiragana script.
