Lakeside of Ting Lake

The Lakeside of Ting Lake is located two kilometers from the city of Shengzhou. Ting Lake is where Wang Ziyou of the Jin Dynasty returned by boat on a snowy night after visiting Dai Kui — the origin of the famous anecdote “came in high spirits, left when the fun was over.” On Ting Lake Mountain stands the Ting Lake Pagoda, built in the 27th year of the Jiajing reign during the Ming Dynasty, collapsed in the 7th year of the Tianqi reign, and rebuilt in the 7th year of the Chongzhen reign.
