Zhongxiang Shaoxing Hot Spring Resort is located in Shengzhou City, Zhejiang Province, and was invested and built by the Zhongxiang Group. Covering an area of 5.9 square kilometers with a total investment of 2.2 billion yuan, it is about 11 kilometers from downtown Shengzhou. The resort enjoys convenient transportation, pleasant scenery, and fresh air. The tourist area includes projects such as a hot spring center, conference center, entertainment center, health care center, and corporate clubs. It is an international holiday resort integrating hot spring vacations, specialty sightseeing, business conferences, cultural experiences, outdoor sports, eco-leisure, and health and wellness. It is also one of the leading tourism brands in the Yangtze River Delta region.

The hot spring resort is situated in the hilly area of Kuaiji Mountain in the northwest of Chongren Town, Shengzhou City, Zhejiang Province. The earliest record of the Chongren boiling water hot spring can be found in the first county chronicle of Shengzhou, the "Shan Lu," under the entry for Shimen Mountain: “To the west of the county, there is a mountain with a dragon pool. Below it, boiling water emerges from springs in the creek, bubbling around two to three feet wide like boiling soup, churning ceaselessly all year round.” At the Boiling Water Reservoir, the mountains stand like screens and the water is mirror-like. The hot spring is a volcanic spring at the bottom of the lake, with two hot water outlets. The water temperature remains constant at 32–35°C throughout the year. The water is pure, odorless, slightly alkaline, and rich in free carbon dioxide, strontium, lithium, fluorine, and various other trace elements. It has significant therapeutic, health-preserving, and skin-beautifying effects, making it the core of the resort’s product offerings.

Volcanic rocks are visible everywhere in the resort. According to the county chronicles, the area has experienced 1 to 6 cycles of volcanic eruptions. The rock types are mainly purplish-red thick-layered conglomerate and basalt, making it a great destination for geological exploration and leisure tourism.

The resort features a rare lake-bottom volcanic hot spring in China, abundant in free carbon dioxide—also known as a “heart spring.” The spring water contains minerals such as strontium, lithium, and fluorine, along with various essential trace elements needed by the human body. It has notable therapeutic effects on cardiovascular diseases, joint disorders, metabolic illnesses, and respiratory conditions. It can also make the skin smooth and delicate, offering special beauty-enhancing benefits.
