Glacier Volcano Valley is located in Shengzhou, Shaoxing. It was once an ancient volcanic eruption channel dating back 1.4 million years and is currently the area in China’s geological community where the most concentrated and unique volcanic bombs have been discovered. The scenic area contains a wealth of Quaternary glacial relics, offering significant research and sightseeing value.

This area was once an ancient volcanic eruption channel, with the eruption occurring during the Late Jurassic period, approximately 140 million years ago. The scenic area features countless volcanic bombs, making it the region in China’s geological community where the most concentrated and unique volcanic bombs have been found. These volcanic bombs contain rare crystal clusters and sulfur, making them truly exceptional and a marvel in the field of geology.

Unusual rock formations can be seen throughout the scenic area. Among the most lifelike are the Lovers’ Rock, Stone Monk, Stone General, Stone Lion, Stone Buddha, Stone Turtle, and more. Some rocks change appearance depending on the viewing angle—for example, the Stone Monk looks like a devout monk chanting scriptures from the front, but from the back resembles the thought-provoking Lovers’ Rock.
