Shengzhou Ma Clan Ancestral Hall
The Shengzhou Ma Clan Ancestral Hall is a cultural tourism attraction.
The Ma Clan Ancestral Hall is located in Jukeng Village, Xiantan Township, Shengzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is a family ancestral hall building from the late Qing Dynasty. The structure faces west and is of a combined layout, consisting successively of the entrance hall, stage, and main hall. There are wing rooms on both sides of the stage. The main hall has five bays and a width of 21.60 meters. The entrance hall, main hall, and eaves corridor feature boat-shaped roof brackets, basket-style hanging columns, and exquisitely carved eaves beams and bracket arms. The stage has a single-eave hip-and-gable roof, and its caisson ceiling spirals downward over ten layers through 24 sets of brackets to the top, surrounded by wooden carvings. It is a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit in Shengzhou City. The ancestral hall represents an outstanding cultural form of ancestral worship and holds significant influence and historical value.
