The Qian Family's Grand New House in Changle
The Qian Family's Grand New House is a Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit.
The Qian Family's Grand New House is located in the middle section of Changle Street. It is an early late-Qing Dynasty building, dating back approximately 200 years. This large compound consists of seven bays and five courtyards, with a total of 174 rooms covering an area of 2,200 square meters. The architectural scale is grand, and the exposed beams, doors, and windows are all adorned with carvings of figures, flowers, birds, animals, and fish. Its brick, stone, and wood carvings are extremely exquisite and hold great research and appreciation value.
Changle Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Shengzhou City. Established as Changle Town in 1955, it became a commune in 1961 and was reinstated as a town in 1981. Located in the southwestern part of the city, it is 25 kilometers from downtown Shengzhou. The town covers an area of 133 square kilometers and has a population of 40,000.
