Tinghu Tower
Tinghu Tower is a cultural relic protection unit of Zhejiang Province.
Tinghu Tower is located atop Tinghu Mountain in Shengzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is a feng shui tower.
According to the Republican-era *Shengxian County Annals*: “Tinghu Tower, as recorded in Zhang’s Annals (the *Shengxian County Annals* by Zhang Fenghuan from the Kangxi era), is situated on Tinghu Mountain.
It was built in the 24th year of the Jiajing reign (1545) during the Ming Dynasty by Magistrate Tan Qian, and collapsed in the 7th year of the Chongzhen reign (1634), after which it was rebuilt by Magistrate Fang Shuzhuang.” The tower is hexagonal with seven stories, featuring a pavilion-style brick-and-wood structure, with the base side measuring 3.50 meters. The southern side of the ground floor has a door, while each of the upper floors has three windows. The waist eaves feature a dentil pattern with overlapping rhomboid brackets. The spire and upper pavilion have been destroyed.
On January 13, 2017, the People's Government of Zhejiang Province designated it as part of the seventh batch of Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relic Protection Units.
