Twelve Peaks

The Twelve Peaks are located in the Daruoyan Scenic Area, about 2 kilometers from Taogong Cave. They are a group of peaks formed by rhyolite that underwent joint weathering, water erosion, and tectonic uplift.

They display a variety of shapes, each resembling something different, with vivid appearances that transform as you walk by. People have named them Crown Peak, Incense Burner Peak, Immortal Palm Peak, Sky Pillar Peak, Lotus Peak, Banner Displaying Peak, Stone Bamboo Shoot Peak, Horizontal Zither Peak, Standing Brush Peak, Rhinoceros Horn Peak, Stone Tablet Peak, and Boy Peak. The Twelve Peaks rise majestically, often shrouded in mist at their summits, appearing and disappearing mysteriously, making them a treasured masterpiece bestowed upon the Nanxi River by nature.

The highest peak is Crown Peak, with an elevation of 517 meters. Sky Pillar Peak rises dramatically from the mountainside like a pillar holding up the sky, with a relative height of about 250 meters, offering a spectacular sight.
