Grouper Rock

Grouper Rock, also known as "Steamship Rock" or "Big Ship Rock," stands right in the middle of the valley, truly resembling a large ship about to set sail.

The area around the ship-shaped rock is surrounded by towering, unscalable cliffs. The layered rings on the cliff faces, when viewed from afar, strikingly resemble the waterline of a massive vessel. At the "bow" of the ship, there are two large, symmetrical white lights hanging, which look increasingly lifelike the more you observe them.

The rock covers an area of about 2,400 square meters. There is only one stone path winding up through the cliff at the back, with white steel railings built along the edge of the cliffside path. On a flat area of the mountain rock, there is a Temple of Lord Hu, housing the deity statue of Lord Hu.

Behind the temple, within Grouper Rock, the area is lush with flowers and trees. At the summit, there is a giant rock shaped like a lion, which people call Jade Emperor Summit.

In front of Jade Emperor Summit, there is a relatively flat rocky plateau. Standing on this plateau, you can gaze out at the high gorge and tranquil lake of the Jinxi River, with its shimmering blue waves. To the left, across the gorge, stands the umbrella-shaped Umbrella Rock; to the right, across another gorge, rises the pillar-like Sky Pillar Rock, jutting from the mountainside like a bamboo shoot. Looking around in the distance, the picturesque combination of lake and mountain scenery is truly breathtaking.
