The Former Site of the Headquarters of the Red Army Guerrilla Command in Southern Zhejiang is a classic red tourism destination.

Huangpi Village in Xixia Township, Yongjia County, located on the border between Yongjia and Xianju counties, was originally part of Huangpi Village in Jinzhu Township, Xianju County. In 1948, it was placed under the jurisdiction of Xixia Township, Yongjia County. It lies in the triangular border area where Wenzhou, Taizhou, and Jinhua meet — a naturally defensible and hard-to-attack location with strong local support, making it an ideal rear base for the Red Army. On November 19, 1929, under the leadership of the Yongjia County Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, local peasants established the Southern Zhejiang Revolutionary Committee and the Southern Zhejiang Red Army Guerrilla Unit, with many poor farmers from the village eagerly joining. On February 3 of the following year, with the support of the village’s revolutionary masses, the guerrilla unit defeated the reactionary militia of the Eighteen Local Strongholds in Xianju. In early March, the Central Military Commission of the Chinese Communist Party dispatched Hu Gongmian to southern Zhejiang to lead the armed struggle. On March 9, over 400 Red Army soldiers gathered at the main hall of Guangfu Temple in the village for a general meeting. The assembly announced the establishment of the Headquarters of the Red Army Guerrilla Command in Southern Zhejiang, appointing Hu Gongmian as Commander-in-Chief, Liu Feixiong as Chief of Staff, Wang Guozhen and Li Zhensheng in charge of political affairs, and Jin Guoxiang managing economic matters. Subsequently, the guerrilla forces were reorganized into three battalions and one directly subordinate unit, with Lei Gaosheng, Hu Xiehe, and Xie Wenhou serving as battalion commanders, and Hu Yanzhen as captain of the direct unit. A total of 41 squads were formed, comprising over 400 troops with firearms. The establishment of the Headquarters laid the foundation for the formation of the 13th Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army.

Huangpi Temple (formerly Guangfu Temple), the Former Site of the Headquarters of the Red Army Guerrilla Command in Southern Zhejiang, is located in Huangpi Village, Xixia Township, Yongjia County. Built during the Northern Song Dynasty, the temple covers a construction area of over 4,000 square meters and features a "sun"-shaped overall layout. From front to back, there are three main halls: the Vajra Hall in the front, the Mahavira Hall at the back, 36 monk rooms on both sides, as well as flower stands and fish ponds. It is a widely renowned Buddhist temple.

The Former Site of the Headquarters of the Red Army Guerrilla Command in Southern Zhejiang is a Yongjia County Cultural Relics Protection Unit and a Yongjia County Patriotic Education Base.
