Xiaoyou Palace is located in Pudong Village, Dongcheng Subdistrict, with origins dating back to the Tang to Qing dynasties, classified as an ancient architectural structure. Also known as Shangtang Hall, it was built in honor of Lu, a filial daughter from the Tang Dynasty, and is situated at the foot of Longshan Mountain in Pudong Village, Shangtang Town, Yongjia County, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province.

Xiaoyou Palace was first built in the Tang Dynasty and expanded and renovated during the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. According to the “Donation for Reconstruction” stone tablet within the palace, it was renovated once in the 10th year of the Republic of China (1926). After the liberation, it was once used as a grain storage facility. Between 1997 and later years, additional structures were built including three terraces, a theater stage, front and rear wing rooms, a mountain gate, main gate, kitchen, and main hall. The building faces south and covers an area of 3,430 square meters. It is a three-courtyard, four-hall wooden structure with a pavilion-style layout, consisting of a mountain gate, Heavenly King Hall, Xiaoyou Palace, terrace, theater stage, front and rear wing corridors, and wing buildings. The architecture is grand and majestic, with a tightly structured design, layered brackets, upturned eaves, dragon ridges, and phoenix motifs, creating a well-proportioned and striking appearance. Inside, the palace is splendidly adorned with painted beams and carved rafters, vibrant murals, lifelike statues, and an overall atmosphere that is rustic yet solemn. In 1996, it was approved by the county government as a site for religious activities. In January 2003, it was listed as a Yongjia County Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Pudong Village: Pudong Village is located northeast of Shangtang Town, bordering Shijiaxia Village to the east, Tian?? to the south, Tian?? Epu River to the west, and Sanyuantang Jiangbei Tian to the north. Surrounded by mountains on all sides, the village has a forest coverage rate of 80%. The total population is 702, with 20% of the population working outside the village. The remaining 85 residents mainly engage in farming and breeding. In recent years, led by new rural development initiatives, the village has improved its infrastructure, enhanced environmental management and public security, and promoted both material and cultural progress.
