The Qinglong Lake Scenic Area is located in the middle and upper reaches of the Nanxi River, a national key scenic spot, within Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province. It boasts a uniquely charming natural landscape of mountains and waters. The Qinglong Lake area is rich in tourism resources, integrating natural scenery, cultural attractions, and folk customs. With its crystal-clear waters, peculiar rocks, picturesque lake and mountain views, pristine simplicity, and wild charm.

The Qinglong Lake Scenic Area is divided into upper, middle, and lower sections, including Shangtiao Pool, Menqian Pool, and Xiatiao Pool, along with a natural inner lake. Its winding paths and secluded beauty are truly marvelous. The lake surface is broad, calm, and serene, with the widest point exceeding 150 meters. The total length of the pools is over 2,000 meters, covering an area of more than 80,000 square meters. Qinglong Lake was originally named “Shengu” (meaning deep and solid) due to the deep stream and solid peculiar rocks. Later, it earned the name “Qinglong Lake” (Azure Dragon Lake) because of its emerald waters and uniquely shaped rocks that resemble a living stone dragon.

The lake surface of Qinglong Lake is winding, with calm and crystal-clear waters. The riverbanks are lined with piles of pebbles, clusters of beach forests, and stretches of slender bamboo. The water shape meanders along the rocks and mountain forms, creating a landscape where “people are in the painting, mountains are in the water, and water encircles the mountains.” It is the only “stream-looping” scene along the Nanxi River. Throughout the year, the area features reflections of verdant mountains and shimmering blue waves. In the evening, fishermen’s songs and misty sunset hues add to the charm. There is also the naturally marvelous and ingeniously formed spectacle of “Lotus Pool Reflecting the Moon.” The lake features a variety of peculiar rocks: General Rock, Lion Rock, Dragon Head Rock, Rice Pounding Rock, Rhinoceros Horn, Long Cave Rock, and others, each with unique shapes and delightful appeal.

Bamboo rafting and sightseeing route at Qinglong Lake: Qinglong Lake Dock – Rice Pounding Rock (rock climbing and sightseeing) – Inner Lake – General Rock (rock climbing and sightseeing) – Qinglong Lake Dock. The total distance is 3 kilometers, with two stops for getting off the raft and exploring island attractions. A 1,000-square-meter interactive guessing game will be set up on Rice Pounding Rock, where the first visitors to find the lifelike “Turtle Rock” and “Fairy Footstep Rock” will win prizes.
