Located in Shangcun Village, Bilian Town. Originally named the Liu Clan Ancestral Hall, it was the ancestral temple of the Liu family lineage of Liu Ji, a founding hero of the early Ming Dynasty. It was first built in the 27th year of the Zhizheng era of the Yuan Dynasty (1367), and in the first year of the Hongwu era of the Ming Dynasty (1368), after Liu Ji’s three generations of ancestors were posthumously granted the title of Marquis of Yongjia County, it was renamed Yongjia County Ancestral Temple. It was rebuilt during the mid-Ming period. Facing south, the temple covers an area of 2,000 square meters. The structure is a two-courtyard wooden building with a front and rear section and side wings. The front section is the entrance hall, spanning five bays, 20.4 meters wide, and two bays deep, 22.8 meters, featuring a post-and-lintel beam system and a flush-gable roof. The rear section is the main hall, spanning five bays, 22.8 meters wide, and six bays deep, 18.86 meters, using a mixed post-and-lintel and column-and-tie beam system, with a flush-gable roof, and the ridge is decorated with dragon head and phoenix tail ornaments. The courtyard has side wing rooms on the east and west, each spanning four bays, with a stage in the middle, featuring a four-pillar hip-and-gable roof and an octagonal multi-layer caisson ceiling. Shangcun Village: Located in the central part of Yongjia County along the middle reaches of the Xiaonanxi River, Shangcun Village in Bilian Town is traversed by the Yongjin Highway and lies at the border between Shangcun and Xiacun villages. It is also the seat of the town government. The village has a population of 2,215, with 15 villager groups, 620 households, 757 mu of arable land, and 5,113 mu of forest and miscellaneous land. Most local residents make a living through farming, mainly cultivating rice, vegetables, raising fish in paddy ditches, and growing early fragrant pomelos. The village hosts the provincial cultural relics protection unit Yongjia County Ancestral Temple, and its main cash crops include early fragrant pomelos.
