Longping Temple

Longping Temple is a cultural heritage site protected at the county level in Yongjia County.

Longping Temple is located in Shangbayan Village, Huangtian Subdistrict, dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, and is classified as an ancient architectural structure.

In 2003, Longping Temple was listed as a county-level cultural heritage site under the protection of Yongjia County.

Huangtian Subdistrict: Huangtian Subdistrict is situated in the southern part of Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province, on the west bank of the Nanxi River. It borders Chengnan Subdistrict to the north, faces Sanjiang Subdistrict across the river to the east, connects with Jiangbei Subdistrict and Dongou Subdistrict to the south, and adjoins Qiaoxia Town to the west. Provincial Highway 223, National Highway 104, and the northern section of the Wenzhou Ring Expressway pass through the area, and the Yongjia Railway Station of the Yong-Tai-Wen High-Speed Railway is located here, offering excellent transportation links. Legend has it that the area was once named Huangtian (Yellow Fields) because during droughts, the farmlands would turn yellow and parched. The subdistrict covers a total area of 32.5 square kilometers, with a permanent population of approximately 61,000, including around 28,000 local residents.
