The Former Residence of Xie Wenjin is located in Panjing Village, Panjing Community, Yantan Town. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is categorized as an ancient building.

In 2003, the Former Residence of Xie Wenjin was listed as a county-level cultural heritage site under protection by Yongjia County.

Panjing Community: Panjing Community is situated in the northwest of Yongjia County, about 80 kilometers from the county seat. It borders Xikou Community to the east, Biaoshan Community to the south, Xixia Community and Da’ao Community to the west, and adjoins Huangnan Community and Xianju County to the north. It is a mountainous township known for its beautiful scenery and clear waters. The community covers a total area of 89.5 square kilometers, comprising 12 administrative villages, 56 natural villages, 137 villager groups, 2,753 households, and a population of 11,351.
