The Former Site of the Red Thirteenth Army Headquarters is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Former Site of the Red Thirteenth Army Headquarters - Located on the eastern foothills of Jiangshantou Mountain, across from Wuxia Village in Wuchi Township, Wuxia Village, it faces southeast. The building is a two-courtyard, five-bay structure with corridors on both sides and a hanging roof. It was originally built in the sixth year of the Yongzheng reign during the Qing Dynasty (1728). In May 1930, the Red Army guerrillas in southern Zhejiang were officially established as the Workers' and Peasants' Red Thirteenth Army, with Hu Gongmian as the army commander, Jin Guanzhen as the political commissar, and Chen Wenjie as the director of the political department. The army headquarters was set up here, using the nearby mountainous areas as its base. The Red Thirteenth Army was directly under the leadership of the Central Military Commission and was one of the fourteen officially organized Red Armies nationwide at the time. It had three regiments and a total of about 6,000 soldiers. It engaged in over a hundred battles of varying sizes, capturing the counties of Lishui, Pingyang, and Jinyun, and dealt a heavy blow to the reactionary rule of the Kuomintang. Wherever the Red Army went, they propagated the Ten Major Policies, carried out land revolution, established red political power, educated and mobilized the masses, strongly supported the national agrarian revolutionary war, and laid a solid foundation for the later activities of the Red Army Advance Detachment, the establishment of the southern Zhejiang guerrilla base, and the further development of the Party organization. The ancestral hall had fallen into disrepair and suffered severe damage due to age. Since 1985, with state funding and local fundraising, a bridge was constructed and the former site of the army headquarters was fully renovated. On the right hillside stands the Monument to the Workers' and Peasants' Red Thirteenth Army of China, while on the left a new Museum of the Red Thirteenth Army's Battle History has been built. It is now a provincial-level patriotic education base. In 1989, it was listed as part of the third batch of cultural relics protection units in Zhejiang Province. On March 5, 2013, it was announced as part of the seventh batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
