Meitan Valley Residence

Meitan Valley Residence is a Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The full name of "Meitan Valley Residence" is Meitan Valley Quxian Residence. It is located at No. 125-22-26, Yongxing Street, Meitan Village, Xiyuan Township, Yongjia County.

This residential building was built during the Ming Dynasty, faces south with its back to the north, and has a hanging gable roof. The structure mainly includes a front house, two wing rooms, a main hall, and side rooms. The main hall is nine bays wide, featuring a mixed post-and-lintel and through-tenon beam system, with a double-step beam in the front corridor. The doors and windows are decorated with straight lattice long windows. Each of the two wing rooms is a two-story, three-bay structure, with a flat ceiling in the front corridor. The front house is seven bays wide, with a single-step beam in the front corridor, using the same beam style as the main hall. There are side rooms attached, along with a small courtyard. To the west of the main hall, there are six storage rooms and animal pens. To the west of the front hall, there is a small courtyard complex. The courtyards are paved with block stones, and the center of the front house courtyard is decorated with a pattern made of small pebbles.
