Yushan Site
The Yushan Site is a cultural relic protection unit of Yongjia County.
The Yushan Site is located on the southwestern slope of Yutang Mountain Park in Shangtang Town, Yongjia County, near the Revolutionary History Memorial Hall, covering an area of about 4,000 square meters. In 1962, while local villagers were clearing land for farming, they discovered roughly polished stone adzes, knives, spears, and arrowheads with clear chopping marks. Pottery shards of stamped hard pottery were also found, featuring decorative patterns such as corded, striped, and checked designs. Based on the characteristics of the artifacts, the site’s upper limit dates to the late Neolithic Age, and its lower limit extends to the Shang and Zhou dynasties.
