Yan Tou Yongqing Bridge

Yan Tou Yongqing Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Yongjia County.

Yongqing Bridge is located at the foot of Shiba Long Mountain in Changshekeng, Yan Tou Town, Yongjia County. Spanning across Changshe Valley, with mountains on both sides and a stream below, it was built in the third year of the Qingyuan era during the Southern Song Dynasty (1197). This three-span beam bridge is 12.65 meters long, 3.6 meters wide, and 4 meters high, running in a northeast-southwest direction. At both ends of the bridge base, stone blocks are piled up to form docks, and each pier has four square stone columns per seam, with horizontal stone beams on top, and eight bridge planks laid on each span. The outer sides of the bridge planks on the left and right of the central span are inscribed with records: the left side reads “On the seventeenth day of the fourth month in the year Dingyou of the Qingyuan era, Great Song Dynasty, 1197,” and the right side reads “Xue’an donated funds to build this Yongqing Bridge, and Monk Jize placed it here,” both written in regular script.
