Youxu Hall

Youxu Hall is a cultural relics protection unit of Kaihua County.

Youxu Hall is located in Kuangshan Village, Tangwu Township. Built during the Daoguang era of the Qing Dynasty, it is a fourth-batch county-level cultural relics protection unit. It serves as the ancestral hall of the Hu family. The structure faces northeast and is situated to the southwest. It consists of three courtyards, with a light well between each, forming a convex layout overall, covering an area of approximately 724 square meters. The first courtyard features a stage with an upper floor, spanning a total width of 20.5 meters. The second courtyard is the main hall, with a width of three bays, spanning a total width of 14 meters. The central bay features a five-rafter raised-beam structure with a front rolled awning. The surrounding columns of the light wells are all adorned with bracket arms (dou-gong), and the entire courtyard is paved with bluestone slabs. The entire building has walls constructed with staggered brick bonding. The door frame is made of bluestone slabs, with a tiled cornice door hood built from bricks, and the lintel is inscribed in ink with the four large characters "Xunxian Shijia" (House of Meritorious and Wise).
