Qijing Hall (Yu Family Ancestral Hall)

Qijing Hall (Yu Family Ancestral Hall) is a cultural relics protection unit of Kaihua County.

Qijing Hall is located in Xizhuang Village, Tangwu Township. Built in the Renxu year of the Jiaqing era of the Qing Dynasty (1802), it is an ancestral hall of the Yu family and is listed as a fourth batch county-level cultural relics protection unit. The building faces east and has four sections: the front hall, middle hall, main hall, and rear tower. Each section is three bays wide, with a total width of 11.2 meters, and covers an area of approximately 387 square meters. It features a flush gable roof, with roof panels and bargeboards. The entire structure is intricately carved, with decorative motifs including children at play, flowers and birds, lions playing with balls, and scenes from historical tales. The walls are constructed from blue limestone blocks and yellow mud, with a clay-mortar floor. There is a thatched porch entrance at the front.
