Huade Hall (Hu Clan Ancestral Hall)

Huade Hall (Hu Clan Ancestral Hall) is a cultural relic protection unit of Kaihua County.

Huade Hall is located in Shizhu Village, Majin Town · Republican Era · Fifth Batch of County-Level Cultural Relics Protection Units. It is the ancestral hall of the Hu clan. The structure consists of two courtyards with a central patio, covering an area of approximately 312 square meters. The first courtyard features a stage, with various painted decorations on the bracket arms (ni’’tui) and spandrels (que’ti). The patio is built with fine craftsmanship. The main gate is adorned with a brick-layered eaves and upturned corners, beneath which are brick carvings, and the gate frame is constructed from bricks, with a horse-head wall made of river pebbles.

Majin Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Kaihua County. Established as Majin Township in 1950, reorganized as a commune in 1958, reinstated as a township in 1983, and upgraded to a town in 1985. It is located in the northern part of the county, on the east bank of the Majin Stream, 17.6 kilometers from the county center. Covering an area of 94 square kilometers with a population of 22,000. National Highway 205 and the Quzhou–Chun’an Road pass through the town.
