Fengshan Hall (Zhang Clan Ancestral Hall)

Fengshan Hall (Zhang Clan Ancestral Hall) is a cultural heritage protection unit of Kaihua County.

Fengshan Hall is located in Zhuwu Village, Tangwu Township. It is a Qing Dynasty structure and was listed as part of the fifth batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units. This ancestral hall of the Zhang family has three courtyards, each separated by an atrium with corridors connecting the sides. It covers an area of approximately 390 square meters. The first courtyard includes a stage. The second courtyard features intricately carved dragons and phoenixes on the beams above the front porch, which are remarkably exquisite. The third courtyard has a building that is 0.7 meters higher than the second. The central atrium is connected by corridors on both sides. The brick carvings above the main gate are rich in content and vivid in imagery. There is also a plaque inscribed with “Descendants of Marquis Liu.”
