Fangtian Taihe Hall

Fangtian Taihe Hall is a cultural heritage site protected at the county level in Kaihua County.

Taihe Hall is located in Fangtian Village, Huanggu Township. It was built during the Qing Dynasty and is listed as a fourth-batch county-level cultural heritage site. The structure has a longitudinal rectangular layout, facing east with its back to the west, and consists of three sections: a stage, a main hall, and a rear hall, each with five bays. The total width is 16.3 meters. The entrance features a four-pillar, three-bay, five-story, memorial archway-style gate. The first section, where the stage is located, has side rooms on both sides. The second section has a total depth of 8.6 meters; the principal and secondary bays are both supported by five-rafter front-curved roof beams and rear single-step beams. A plaque inscribed with “Taihe Hall” hangs from the beam of the central bay. The column bases are melon-shaped with inverted lotus pedestals. The roof is of the flush-gable style. The third section includes an upper floor, raised 0.31 meters above the second section, with the same roofing style. The village holds an annual ceremony on the third day of the third lunar month to worship “Mao Linggong.”
