The Yu Family Mingfeng Hall

The Yu Family Mingfeng Hall is a Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Unit.

Mingfeng Hall is situated in Yujia Village, Qixi Town. It was built during the Qing Dynasty and is included in the fourth batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units. The building faces east, with a theater stage, main hall, and rear hall arranged in sequence. The first section, the theater stage, has murals painted on the caisson ceiling, along with plaques that read “Music and Dance of Shao” and “Songs Responding to the Southern Wind.” The overall structure remains intact. The second section is five bays wide, spanning a total width of 10.75 meters. The gable walls of the side bays feature murals depicting historical figures and stories. A copy of the Yu Family Genealogy is also preserved here.

Qixi Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Kaihua County. It was established as Qixi Township in 1950, renamed Qiling Township in 1956, reverted to Qixi Township in 1961, upgraded to Xikeng Town in 1987, and restored to its current name, Qixi Town, in 1992.
