Yongyan Hall

Yongyan Hall is a cultural heritage site protected at the county level in Kaihua County.

Yongyan Hall is located in Zhengda Village, Tangwu Township. Built in the late Qing Dynasty, it covers an area of 705 square meters and is listed as a third-batch county-level cultural heritage site. The building faces south and consists of three sections: a stage, a main hall, and a rear hall. Courtyards are situated between each section, with the one between the second and third sections exquisitely constructed. The first section features a stage with gabled walls in a camelback style, and the central and side bays have five-rafter beam structures. The second section, the main hall, has a flush-gable roof with ceiling boards and is built with exposed rafters. It is five bays wide, measuring 17.8 meters in total width and 8.05 meters in depth. The central bay features five-rafter beams with front and rear corridors, and the ends of the three-rafter beams are decorated with cloud motifs. The front eave columns are adorned with decorative bracket sets on their brackets. The column bases come in both drum-shaped and square styles.
