Longtan Kiln Site
The Longtan Kiln Site is situated on the eastern hillside of Longtan Village, Suzhuang Town. Dating from the Yuan to Qing dynasties, it is among the second batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units. It spans around 7,500 square meters, with accumulated layers of ceramic shards and kiln tools ranging from 1 to 2 meters in depth. Major finds include bowls, plates, incense burners, and cups. Most are blue-and-white porcelain, with white glaze, shadow blue, and brown glaze as secondary types. The bases of many bowls and plates have rough rings. Blue-and-white patterns mainly feature floral designs and inscriptions. Remains of the kiln bed still exist. Kiln utensils include saggars and spacer pads. According to the 1988 "Kaihua County Annals" Chronicle, during the Yuan Zhi Zheng era, over 100 round-kiln ceramic workshops were established in Suzhuang.
