Gouxixi Leisure Agriculture Tourism Scenic Area

Gouxixi Leisure Agriculture Tourism Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Gouxixi Township is located in the western part of Kecheng District, 14 kilometers from the city center. It is recognized as a Chinese Folk Culture and Arts Town, an Ecological Demonstration Township of Zhejiang Province, and a Modern Agriculture Demonstration Zone of Zhejiang Province. The area boasts beautiful scenery and convenient transportation, and it gets its name from being situated at the confluence of the Changshan River and the Dajuyuan Stream.

The Gouxixi Leisure Agriculture Tourism Scenic Area highlights leisure agriculture, rural tourism, and rural culture, striving to create a distinctive tourist destination with the unique charm of Gouxixi. It is a national 3A-level scenic area.

With the Wushidu Ecological Park as its highlight, the area builds a leisure agriculture estate with the distinctive features of western Zhejiang. Covering more than 1,500 acres, the Wushidu Ecological Park includes sections for fruit cultivation, vegetable cultivation, flower cultivation, visitor leisure, and water amusement. The fruit cultivation area features over ten types of grapes, 600 acres of red-flesh kiwifruit, as well as over ten other fruits such as yellow peaches, snow pears, blueberries, strawberries, and pitayas. Visitors can pick, taste, and purchase fresh fruits here all year round. The vegetable cultivation area grows a variety of seasonal vegetables such as cucumbers and eggplants, allowing visitors to enjoy the experience of a farmer’s garden. The visitor leisure area offers facilities such as farmhouse accommodations, conference lodging, a 7D cinema, and a bubble city, providing guests with a full range of services including dining, accommodation, entertainment, and play.

Highlighting Yudong Painting Village, efforts are made to create the unique charm of a "green painting countryside." Yudong’s farmer paintings are renowned nationwide, having won multiple national awards. Yudong boasts beautiful scenery and a strong rural flavor, especially with its distinctive group of farmer painters. Based on this, the Yudong Cultural Activity Center has been built to showcase Yudong farmer paintings. The riverside farmer painting path has been renovated, with paintings decorating the walls to beautify the village environment. A village image sign, cultural corridor, and along-the-route cultural decorations have also been added to enhance the village’s unique character. The old ancestral hall has been renovated, and a new cultural square has been constructed, providing a platform for public cultural performances and exhibitions.

Rural tourism cultural festival events are organized to attract visitors and enhance the area’s visibility and reputation. Every year, a Rapeseed Flower Cultural Tourism Festival is held in spring, a Musical Grape Festival in summer, a Gouxixi Green Melon and Fruit Festival in autumn, and a Strawberry Picking Festival in winter, offering visitors a chance to enjoy the unique leisure tourism experiences of Gouxixi’s countryside.
