Dayuanhao Money Shop

The Dayuanhao Money Shop is a Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Dayuanhao Money Shop consists of four architectural complexes, with a total floor area of 1,076.64 square meters. It is now divided into multiple residential units. The main building along the central axis has a “日”-shaped (sun-shaped) layout, featuring two courtyards in a two-courtyard, front-and-back arrangement, designed as a front hall followed by a rear building. The front hall faces east and is five bays wide, arranged in a pattern of three bright rooms and two dark rooms. The rear section is a quadrangle-style five-bay two-story building; the front building has a pattern of three bright rooms and two dark rooms, while the rear building is five bays wide with a single-pitched roof on the second floor, arranged in a pattern of four dark rooms and one bright room.

Due to its significant cultural value for the study of the development and changes in ancient history, culture, economy, and architecture in the Quzhou region, the building was directly designated as a sixth-batch Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit in January 2011.
