Zhongnan Herb Garden serves as an educational base for science and nature.

Guide: The garden features dense forests, unique flowers, running deer, and flying geese, with eight scenic spots and eighteen themed gardens, offering breathtaking views. It boasts one of the world’s last remaining large tracts of pristine light bamboo forest, serving as a natural green oxygen bar and a microcosm of Anji’s ecology. Recently, the scenic area has introduced six new attractions—including a wolf enclosure, a crocodile farm, and stunt motorcycle shows—further enhancing the site’s appeal. Anji Zhongnan Herb Garden is one of the largest new-style tourism, leisure, and sightseeing parks in the Yangtze River Delta region. Located just 3.7 kilometers from the county town, it covers an area of over 3,500 acres. Zhongnan Herb Garden is a provincial wildlife domestication base, a national wildlife conservation science education base, a training base for Tsinghua University and Fudan University EMBA executive programs, and an ecological environment education practice base for universities such as Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhejiang University, and Zhejiang University of Technology. It now also provides a venue for activities related to United Nations environmental and sustainable development education. The site is also the hometown of two famous Eastern Wu generals, Zhu Zhi and Zhu Ran.
